Mr. Bao has been the general counsel of Chinese and international corporations such as Singapore Oversea Chinese Bank, Tianjin City International Trade Group, Litong M&E Engineering, Yanbo Technology, and Yongtai R.E. Development. In addition, he rendered China incorporation services to Shengding Industry, Dingcheng R.E. Development, and Chuangligao International Trade, etc.; rendered U.S. incorporation services to Nines USA, Sany Brothers, and Lu & Chen Realty, etc.; rendered acquisition services to Achievement Enterprise, Douglaston Minute Market, and Foo Hing Restaurant, etc.; and rendered bankruptcy services to Yeh, Ching, Tian, and Lai, etc.
Mr. Bao provided legal services on foreign direct investment, import/export and cross-border transaction to clients including US General Instrument, American President Line, US Pro-Mart, China Minerals Import/Export, and Beijing Qingyuan Tech, etc. He participated in investment analysis of major projects such as City Welcome Square and International Aviation Club of Development Research Center of PRC State Council. He represented clients in complex litigations and arbitrations amounting hundreds millions RMB in dispute over foreign trade agent, insurance coverage, letter of credit, shipping, conformity, jurisdiction, choice of law, and damages.
Mr. Bao advised clients such as Standard Chartered Bank, Oversea-Chinese Bank, China Industry & Commerce Bank, China Investment Bank, on lending, financing, instrument, foreign exchange, and collection, etc. He completed unprecedented transactions of international sale-leaseback-repurchase multimillion USD financing among Oversea-Chinese Bank, COSCO Shipping, and Hong Kong Festiwell. In large sum collection action representing foreign bank suing state-owned enterprise, he obtained TRO and won both trial and appeal, where Superior Court ordered defendant to pay entire principal, interest, litigation cost and, as court rarely supported, plaintiff's full legal fee.
Mr. Bao advised Litong M&E, New Thinker Art on procurement, management, audit, protection and transfer of trademark, copyright, patent and trade secret; established and implemented software compliance and internet usage policy; drafted, negotiated and reviewed software license, customization, maintenance, support and consulting agreement. He represented Yinfeng Group in trademark infringement action; and defended A/V merchant in copyright infringement action against Wang Hai, a nationally renowned specialist. He also handled trademark registration to USPTO for Empire Craftsman & Design and Lin!/s International.
Mr. Bao offered legal services to Chinese developers such as Yongtai R.E., Dingcheng R.E., and Yongji R.E., on project development, fundraising, construction, sale, and regulatory compliance; also represented clients in quiet title, holdover and breach of warranty actions. In U.S., he worked for dozens of clients, including ReMax Realty and Century 21 Realty, in purchase, sale, conveyance and lease of premises, title search, inspection, mortgage, insurance, closing and recording.
Mr. Bao dealt with hundreds of cases in U.S. including employment and family based green card applications, visitor, student, worker and scholar visa applications, visa changes and extensions, national interest waiver, labor certification/RIR, naturalization, and BIA and federal court appeals. Clients ranged from major corporations and organizations such as Exxon Mobil, Lehman Brothers, Rockefeller University, Connecticut Board of Education, to celebrities, scientists, artists and entrepreneurs from U.S., China and Hong Kong.
